LaQuaya "Bean" S. Merle

LaQuaya “Bean” S. Merle, 30, of Mansfield, passed away Monday, March 16, 2015. She was born March 2, 1985 in Mansfield and later adopted to her parents of over twenty years, Mack Merle and Shirley McCauley. 

She was a proud 2002 graduate of Mansfield Senior High School. Always happy and energetic, LaQuaya always wanted others to feel the same way that she felt. Her love was contagious for everyone. She loved wearing her clothing and shoes, long car rides with her family, and listening to music. She even enjoyed dancing to any music that was playing. LaQuaya’s favorite sports team was definitely the Pittsburgh Steelers. Her greatest love and legacy was her adoring family. 

In addition to her parents, she is survived by six brothers, Brannon (Anna) Collier, Carl (Lori) Collier, Aaron (Judy) Merle, Dustin (Lauren) Merle, Cory Merle, and Andy Merle; one sister, April (Craig) Brett; her biological “Curry” brothers and sisters; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; her very special and close friends and Nurses Aides, Mark Cummings and Paula Sauder; her bus drivers, Terry Perry and Nina Reeder; and her sister in law Anna Collier who was also one of her close Nurses Aides. 

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother and grandfather, Mary and Brannon McCauley; and uncle, Charlie McCauley. 

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 20, 2015 at 2 p.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield conducted by Pastor David Bates. Friends may call one hour prior to the service from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home on Friday. Memorial contributions may be made in care of the family and may be left at the funeral home.
