Barbara A. Stephens, 83, of Iberia, died unexpectedly Monday, February 2, 2015 at Signature Healthcare, Galion. She passed away five days after her husband, Cecil.

Barbara was born in Pampa, TX on November 2, 1931 to the late Robert S. and Lillie Marie (Isom) Brashears.  She married Cecil C. Stephens on July 3, 1948 and he preceded her in death on January 28, 2015.

She retired from North Central Mental Health, Columbus.  She volunteered at the Mt. Gilead Hospital, Mt. Gilead.  Barbara loved doing crafts and tending to her flower gardens.  Lilies were her favorite.

She is survived by her three daughters Vickie Davis, Columbus, Sherri & Charles Alvey, TN, and Cecilia Stephens, Columbus, her son Mark Stephens, Pataskala, her eleven grandchildren Matthew Davis, Andrew Davis, Jason Martin, Margaret Travers, Sarah Kucharski, Kathryn Rooks, Marcus Cole, Jeremy Rickard, Nathaniel Rickard, Jacob Duffield, and Ian Duffield, her seventeen great-grandchildren, and her sister, Melvina Bezanson of Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by two grandchildren Shannon Davis and Luke Davis, and her brother, Leland Brashears.
