Michael A. “Mike” Lauer, 46, of Mansfield, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 23, 2015 at Ohio Health MedCentral Hospital.
Mike was born on March 22, 1968, in Galion, to Robert A. and Janet L. (Gibson) Lauer. Mike was very well liked by everyone who knew him. He was a kind person, and showed that in how he treated people. He enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews. He also loved animals. Mike had many hobbies, including riding his bike, shopping, talking on the phone, going out to eat, wrestling, listening to music and watching movies.
He is survived by his father, Robert Lauer, of Mansfield; three siblings, Monica Lauer of Mansfield, and Ada Kitzmiller and Randy Lauer both of Galion; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Janet Lauer, in 2010; his paternal grandparents, Robert H. Lauer and Camilla C. Valentine; his paternal step-grandfather, Clarence W. Valentine; and his maternal grandparents, Thomas and Ada Gibson.
The family will observe private memorial services with family and friends.
