Jason Arhens, from Ohio Department of Agriculture, and Wes Englebach, Richland Public Health, will facilitate NECIC’s next Market Garden class, Farmers Market Do’s and Don’ts.

The class will be held at the North End Community Improvement Collaborative (199 N. Main St, Mansfield) on Feb. 24, 4 – 6 p.m. The food safety experts will explain what foods can be home-produced to sell, labeling requirements, safe handling practices and more.

Farmers’ Market Dos and Don’ts is being offered through NECIC’s North End Local Food Initiative (NELFI), which provides education and support for growers and producers interested in selling at market. Additional programs and opportunities will be highlighted.

This class is free but reservations are suggested. To reserve your seat or for more information, contact Vickie, 419-525-3101, vickie@necic-ohio.org or visit the event page.
