Gladys G. Watts, 91, of Crestline, died Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Liberty Of Mansfield, Mansfield. She had been in declining health.
Gladys was born in Fair Bluff, NC on February 1, 1923 to the late Emory and Beuhla (Peacock) Fairfax. She married Ralph J. Watts on February 27, 1945 and he preceded her in death on September 23, 1990.
Gladys worked at a cotton mill making airplane parts during World War II. She enjoyed gardening, especially tomatoes. She liked to read and loved her cat, Tiger.
She is survived by: her four sons and two daughters; Diane and Ed Naufzinger, Galion, Claude Richard and Karen Watts, Austin, TX, Carl D. and Miriam Watts, North Robinson, Ricky L. and Amy Watts, North Robinson, Caroline and Tom Hildebrand, Mt. Gilead, John E. and Luanne Watts, Edison, fourteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and one great great-grandson.
The last of seven children, she was preceded in death by her brothers Gary Fairfax, Cooter Fairfax, Buddy Fairfax, Elmore Fairfax, and two sisters, Effie Cash and Rosalee Lucas. She was also preceded in death by two grandchildren, and a great grandson.
A memorial service will be announced in the Spring.
