CLEVELAND, Ohio, Wednesday, Jan.28, 3:03 p.m.—The National Weather Service reported that freezing rain will move into northwest and north central Ohio early Thursday morning. The advisory is in effect from 4 a.m. until noon on Thursday. Precipitation will gradually transition to rain by afternoon as temperatures rise above freezing.
Local area affected include Ashland, Crawford, Knox, Morrow and Richland counties.
Dangerous travel conditions are expected due to icy roads. Motorists should use caution tomorrow and expect to encounter ice on the roads at times. Patches of ice on sidewalks will also cause slippery conditions.
Another weather system will impact the area Sunday into Monday with widespread accumulating snow.
