Dianna Kay Hamilton

Dianna Kay Hamilton, 63, of Mansfield, died early Tuesday morning, January 6, 2015, at OhioHealth MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. She was born October 26, 1951, in Mansfield, one of eight children of the late Shirley Mae (Heichel) and John Elbert Cline.

Dianna was a 1969 graduate of Mansfield Senior High School. She married her high school sweetheart, Leonard “Jerry” Hamilton, on July 25, 1970. When he died in 2006, he took half her heart with him. She worked alongside her husband at their business, Jerry’s Garage, for many years. They enjoyed going to Mohican and racing together.

Dianna had the voice of an angel and was constantly singing, no matter what she was doing. She had a kind and gentle soul and demonstrated a true love of the Lord. She was a member of Dean Road Freewill Baptist Church and her family there was very important to her. Dianna’s love for her family was unconditional and she treasured the times spent with all of them. However, her grandchildren held a special place in her wonderful heart.

DeeDee (Chuck) Hamilton-Johnson of Mansfield, and Beverly Hamilton of Thomasville, GA; ten grandchildren, Juliet, Jasmine, Kayla, Sierra, Tessa, Kyle, Alyxzanderia, Sarah, Gabriella and Trinity. She is preceded in death by a sister, Mary L. Mosby; special son, Clarence Allen Cash; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Arthur and Topsey Hamilton.

The funeral service conducted by Pastor Clifford Earl Tackett will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, January 8, 2015, in the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road.
