Margaret Carroll, 84, of Crestline, died Saturday, Dec. 27, 2014 at Crestline Nursing Center, Crestline.
Margaret was born in Floyd Co., KY on Sept. 8, 1930 to the late William and Flora (Hale) Shepherd. She married Watt C. Carroll on May 3, 1950 and he preceded her in 1978.
She enjoyed gardening and loved flowers, especially her roses. Margaret also enjoyed cooking meals and was a songwriter.
She is survived by her seven children, Sonjia and Bruce Bolles, Darryell and Kathy Carroll, Bill Carroll, Sandra Carroll, Cindy and Marvin Earl, Sharon and Tom Mitchell, and Sam Carroll, all of Crestline; 14 grandchildren, Christopher Bolles, Darryell Carroll, Scott Poffenbaugh, Chad Carroll, Trisha Hobdy, Peyton Carroll, Joey Carroll, Christy Carroll, Casey Songer, Jackquelyn Earl, Jocelyn Earl, Brent Mitchell, Justin Carroll, and Zach Carroll; her 12 great-grandchildren, and her two sisters and two brothers: Betty (Doug) Scarberry, Lester Shepherd, Therman Shepherd and Alvy Hall.
She was preceded in death by her son Gary Carroll, her grandson Donald Hoffman, her three brothers Jay, Abe and Curtis Shepherd and her three sisters Alice Todd, Haley Carper and Roberta Sloane.
Friends may call 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Monday, December 29, 2014 at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, 223 W. Main St., Crestline. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, December 29 at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, Crestline, with Deacon Bill Horning officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Crestline.
