Jerry A. Shoemaker, 67, of Mansfield, passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 following a brief illness.
Jerry was born September 26, 1947, in Mansfield, to Eugene W. and Esther M. (Carroll) Shoemaker. He loved to fish and he loved being surrounded by his family and his many friends.
Along with his father and step-mother, Eugene and Cora Shoemaker of Ontario, he is survived by his soul mate, Linda Wooldridge of Mansfield; four children, Larry Shoemaker of Van Wert; Lisa Moore, Chad Bosworth, and Nathan Shoemaker all of Mansfield; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Sue (George) Noblet and Connie (Harry) Trent, all of Mansfield.
Jerry was preceded in death by his mother, Esther Shoemaker; and one brother, Larry Shoemaker.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, December 5, 2014 at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, LTD., 1106 Park Avenue East (St. Rt. 430E), Mansfield. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 6, 2014 at the funeral home with Pastor John Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Mansfield Memorial Park.
