Paul E. Bauman, 89 of Mansfield, Ohio died Monday, Feb. 14, 2022 at home.
He was born June 26, 1932 in Hannibal, Ohio the son of the late Charles and Nellie Bertschy Bauman.
He was a Korean War Navy veteran; owner and self-employed truck driver; and a member of St. Johns United Church of Christ, Mansfield, and VFW Post 3494, Mansfield. Paul will be remembered for his strong work ethic throughout his life.
He stayed busy cutting firewood until the last year of his life, and was constantly getting in trouble with his girls for working on his roof.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Helen Fraley, Doris Marty, and Pauline Frye.
Survivors include four daughters, Pauletta (Steve) Petho of Powhatan Point, Ohio, JoNell (Stephen) Aron of Perrysville, OH, Carla Bauman of Antwerp, Ohio, and Tennelle (Jason) McElvain of Mansfield, Ohio; five grandchildren, Alayna (Joshua) Davis, Mylea Shafer, Mark Petho, Eric Bauman, and Owen Franks; four great-grandchildren, Ashton and Lillian VanSickel, and Flora and Rowan Davis; and a sister, Twila Potts.
Graveside services and interment will be held Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at St. John’s Church Cemetery, Sardis, Ohio.
