In a report released Nov. 11, Sheriff Deputies reported they responded to a 911 call of an armed robbery that had just occurred at the Sunoco Station, 1257 Park Avenue East, Mansfield, OH. The clerk at the store described the suspect as a white male, scruffy beard who produced a hand gun and demanded money. The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of money eastbound on foot.

As the call was dispatched, Deputy Jeff Frazier was in the area and within minutes located a black Saturn vehicle at 1290 Park Avenue East in front of Apartment #1 getting ready to leave the area. Through further investigation a wad of money was found under the driver’s seat of the vehicle and the weapon used in the robbery was located inside Apartment #1 where the suspect had entered after the robbery.
