GALION — The City of Galion released its updated COVID-19 statistics on Wednesday afternoon.
The city has no one in the hospital, and no deaths as of Aug. 18. There have been 46 total cases and four people in total have been hospitalized. Eight of the 46 cases are probables, with age ranging from less than 1 to 81. So far 44 are listed as recovered. The cases involve 24 women and 22 men.
The following COVID-19 statistics were provided by the Galion City Health Department on Aug. 19.
Galion’s city health department reports that 20 cases were associated with correctional institutions and 5 in congregate care settings. The city had a single COVID case in March, 18 in April, 14 in May, 4 in June, 6 in July and 3 in August.
