Beverly J. Reid, 77, of Mansfield passed away early Monday morning, August 4, 2014. She was born December 3, 1936 in Mansfield, to the late Josephine Strome Dillon and Israel Dillon. She was a graduate of Mansfield Senior High School and retired as the Head Transcriptionist with Mansfield Internists in 2002.
Beverly was a loving, kind lady who treasured her family. She was a wonderful cook and spoiled her family with her delicious dishes. Beverly enjoyed animals, reading, gardening and watching the Cleveland Indians.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Larry K. Reid; daughter, Lisa (Charlie) Keener of Mansfield; granddaughter, Lauren Keener of Mansfield; brother, Richard (Marge) Dillon of Parma Heights; two brothers-in-law, Dennis Reid and Rodney (Lydia) Reid, both of Mansfield; a sister-in-law, Linda (Robert) Rivers of Mansfield; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Violet “Vi” Reid.
The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, August 7, 2014 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. The funeral service will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.
