Edeltrud M. “Trudy” Loyer, 62, of Mt. Gilead passed away early Wednesday morning, May 28, 2014.

She was born May 20, 1952 in Boppard, Germany and was daughter of Heinzgert and Maria (Graf) Cremer who preceded her.

Trudy is survived by her husband of 28 years, Calvin M. Loyer, whom she married on April 5, 1986. She is also survived by twin sons, Jason M. Loyer of Mt. Gilead and Jakob L. Loyer of Dublin; sister Marita (Arnold) Hauger of Crestview, Fla.; brother Heinzgert (Inge) Cremer of Germany and several nieces and nephews.

She was a member of the Women of the Moose Chapter177, Galion and organized Easter egg hunts at Candlewood for many years. Trudy was an excellent cook, baker and was well known for making homemade Easter candy. Her most joy and courage came from raising her twin boys.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held, Saturday, May 31, 2014 at Snyder Funeral Home Richardson Davis Chapel at 10:30 am with Rev. Joe Stafford officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday starting at 9:30 am and continuing until the time of service.

Memorial contributions may be made to Wyandot County Humane Society in care of the funeral home.
