BUCYRUS — The Bucyrus police department handled the following calls on Tuesday, May 9, and Wednesday, May 10:

Tuesday, May 9, 2017

7:08 a.m. Officers checked the welfare of a resident in the 800 block of S. Sandusky Avenue.

7:21 a.m. Officers spoke with an unruly juvenile who didn’t want to go to school today in the 1400 block of Whetstone Street.

8:36 a.m. Officers attempted to check the welfare of a resident at Bucyrus Plaza.

8:38 a.m. A resident from Bucyrus Plaza reported a theft from her apartment.

10:52 a.m. A domestic disturbance in the 300 block of W. Irving Street was investigated.

11:44 a.m. Officers assisted EMS personnel in the 1000 block of Tiffin Street.

11:56 a.m. A report of a sick raccoon in the area of Rogers and Southern Avenue was investigated.

12:18 p.m. A Bucyrus resident came to the Police Department to report fraudulent charges on his bank account.

1:25 p.m. A traffic warning was issued in the 400 block of S. Sandusky Avenue.

3:55 p.m. Officers checked the welfare of a customer at Walmart who appeared to be in distress. She advised officers she was fine and did not need assistance.

4:38 p.m. A traffic warning was issued in the 200 block of Woodlawn Avenue.

6:42 p.m. Officers mediated a domestic dispute at Bucyrus Estates. Jennifer Johnson,34, and Eric Cameron, 31, were both arrested on Crawford County warrants. They were issued dates to appear in court and released.

6:55 p.m. Officers responded to a domestic violence complaint at Heritage Circle. A 16 year old girl was arrested on charges of Domestic Violence. She was transported to the Marion Juvenile Detention Center to be held for court.

6:58 p.m. A disturbance in the area of Iron and Rensselaer Street was an argument between several women and an assault complaint was filed.

7:35 p.m. A disturbance in the 200 block of W. Mansfield Street was a noisy group of people that dispersed from the area and neighbors were contacting the landlord.

7:47 p.m. Officers assisted a Crawford County deputy on a traffic stop in the 1300 block of Oakridge Avenue.

7:50 p.m. A written traffic warning was issued in the area of Grove and Euclid Avenue.

8:11 p.m. A parking citation was issued and a junk vehicle was towed from the 900 block of Hopley Avenue.

8:28 p.m. A disturbance in the area of Home Circle Drive and Joan Drive was a resident trying to get a car started.

9:19 p.m. A report of suspicious vehicles at Outhwaite Reservoir was unfounded.

10:13p.m.  A report of mini bikes on the roadway in the area of Plymouth and Earl Street was investigated.

11:09 p.m. Officers checked the 200 block of Nauman Avenue after receiving a 911 hang up call from the area. No one was located needing assistance in the area.

1:14.a.m. A Hopley Ave. resident reported being assaulted by someone known to him. Stephen Shelton, 49, was arrested on a Crawford County warrant. He was issued a date to appear in court and released.

2:46 a.m. A resident in the 700 block of Sunset Drive reported her front door damaged.

9:20 a.m. A report of loud music was investigated in the 500 block of Prospect Street.

10:03 a.m. A disturbance in the 100 block of Whetstone Street was investigated.

10:21 a.m. A warning for loud music was issued in the 400 block of E. Mansfield Street.

11:10 a.m. A report of two teenage boys trespassing at Walmart was investigated.

1:52 p.m. Officers checked the welfare of a child in the 100 block of E. Mansfield Street.

2:06 p.m. A domestic disturbance was investigated in the 100 block of W. Mary Street.

2:10 p.m. A report of a possible theft of a purse in the 100 block of W. Mansfield Street was investigated.

2:43 p.m. A report of a sick raccoon in the 1500 block of W. Southern Avenue was unfounded.

3:38 p.m. Officers transported a juvenile from Juvenile Court to Marion Juvenile Detention Center.

3:42 p.m. A resident in the 1200 block of Woodlawn Avenue reported kids throwing rocks near his house.

4:43 p.m. A false alarm at FC Bank was investigated.

5:51 p.m. A report of kids left alone in a vehicle at Kroger was investigated. The kids were fine and old enough to be left alone.

5:58 p.m. Officers checked the welfare of a resident in the 800 block of Wingert Street.

6:29 p.m. A traffic warning was issued in the area of Mansfield and Stetzer Road.

6:47 p.m. A 10-year-old Bucyrus girl was arrested on charges of Theft and Underage Possession of Tobacco after reportedly shoplifting from CVS. She was released to a family member pending a court date through Juvenile Court.

6:49 p.m. A false alarm in the 700 block of Arrowhead Drive was investigated.

7:22 p.m. A report of a dog off leash at Outhwaite Reservoir was investigated. The dog and owner were gone when officers checked the area.

7:56 p.m. A resident in the 500 block of S. Poplar Street reported the screen damaged on her storm door.

8:01 p.m. A resident in the 1100 block of Orra Street reported a gun stolen from her residence.

8:31 p.m. Items found in a yard in the 400 block of Kramer Avenue were retrieved by officers.

9:23 p.m. A resident in the 600 block of E. Rensselaer Street reported her daughter missing. She returned home shortly after receiving the report.

10:09 p.m. A traffic warning was issued in the area of Sandusky and Charles Street.

10:46 p.m. Zachary Spiegel, 31, was arrested on charges of OVI near the intersection of Gay St. and Kramer Ave. He was issued a citation and transported to the Crawford County Justice Center to be held on a Probation Violation.

12:52 a.m. An employee in the 100 block of W. Mansfield Street reported money stolen from her.

4:50 a.m. A resident in the 1000 block of S. Walnut Street reported a brick thrown through a vehicle window.
