BUCYRUS — The Bucyrus Police department responded to the following calls on Thursday, May 11:
7:11 a.m. Officers assisted Bucyrus Fire Department with a property inspection in the 300 block of Wiley St.
9:59 a.m. An animal complaint was taken at the Police department.
10:21 p.m. A vandalism report to a vehicle was taken at the Police Department.
10:43 a.m. A theft report of a television was taken in the 400 block of Charlotte St.
11:28 a.m. A report of a domestic dispute was investigated in the 200 block of S. Sandusky Av.
11:41 a.m. Matthew D. Hetsler, 25, was arrested in the 500 block of S. Sandusky on a Crawford County warrant. He was issued a court date to appear and released.
12:11 p.m. A domestic dispute was investigated in the 100 block of E. Mansfield St.
12:49 p.m. A theft report was taken in the 100 block of Schell Av.
2:09 p.m. Officers checked the 600 block of S. Sandusky for a purse on the ground near a dumpster. No purse was located in the area.
2:11 p.m. A traffic complaint was investigated in the 600 block of N. Sandusky Av.
3:04 p.m. A report of an erratic drive was investigated on Plymouth St.
3:37 p.m. A report of vandalism to a vehicle was taken in the 800 block of Faustina Ave.
3:40 p.m. A traffic complaint was investigated in the area of Mary and Poplar St.
3:53 p.m. Officers assisted with a juvenile complaint in the 600 block of E. Oakwood Ave.
4:10 p.m. A report of a breaking and entering at a residence on S. Sandusky Av. was taken.
4:35 p.m. Officers apprehended a runaway sheep from the stockyards in the area of State Route 98. The sheep was released to the owner.
4:45 p.m. Officers assisted with a civil property dispute at the Police Department.
4:46 p.m. A juvenile complaint was investigated in the 600 block of E. Oakwood St.
5:30 p.m. Officers assisted with a report of high water in Aumiller Park.
5:32 p.m. A traffic complaint was investigated in the area of Maple and Dudley St.
5:53 p.m. A 911 hang up call was investigated in the area of Earl and Plymouth St.
6:29 p.m. A traffic complaint was investigated in the area of Southern and Sandusky Ave.
7:10 p.m. A juvenile complaint was investigated in the area of Prospect and Oakwood Ave.
7:13 p.m. A report of a suspicious male in the 800 block of Beverly Dr. was investigated.
7:56 p.m. Officers investigated an animal complaint in the 600 block of Kaler Ave.
8:30 p.m. A report of a breaking and entering was taken on Franklin Ct.
8:56 p.m. Officers assisted with a vehicle lockout in the 1700 block of E. Mansfield St.
9:06 p.m. A domestic dispute was mediated in the 300 block of E. Rensselaer St.
9:31 p.m. A report of a breaking and entering was taken on W. Mary St.
10:29 p.m. A report of people arguing in the 400 block of Woodlawn Ave. was a verbal domestic dispute.
10:31 p.m. A report of two suspicious vehicles in the 200 block of W. Mary St. was investigated.
11:19 p.m. A patron of the Horseshoe reported her wallet stolen from her purse while she was there.
11:50 p.m. A report of people being loud in the 200 block of W. Mansfield St. was checked but the subjects had dispersed.
Friday, May 12
12:05 a.m. A traffic warning was given in the 300 block of S. Sandusky Ave.
12:19 a.m. Officers were dispatched to a dispute near Washington Square. The involved parties were arguing about an earlier larceny complaint. Charles T. Lewis Jr., 37, was arrested for criminal trespass and disorderly conduct. He was issued criminal summonses and taken to the Crawford County Justice Center to be held until sober. Larry D. Gray, 29, was arrested on 3 warrants out of Crawford County. He was issued a court date and released.
5:50 a.m. A report of a trespasser in the 200 block of Gaius St. was checked and no one was located.
6:18 a.m. A traffic warning was given in the Marion Rd. area.
