MANSFIELD — Four local boutiques are joining forces for three days of shopping, prizes and community support during the fifth annual Mansfield Boutique Crawl.
The event is Oct. 8 to 10 and gives shoppers a chance to explore Versa Clothing Co., B.E. Humble, Bloom Boutique and Olive & Oak Company while supporting local shops.
Olive & Oak co-owner Jessica Klupp said they created the event five years ago to showcase local boutiques and highlight the importance of supporting small businesses.
“We cannot believe this event has been successful for five years now,” Klupp said.
Three days to shop local
The Boutique Crawl is from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
Versa Clothing Co. will only participate at Olive & Oak on Thursday, Oct. 8.
Shoppers who visit each participating boutique can collect stamps with a $25 purchase. Every additional $25 spent earns another entry into the giveaway.
The grand prize includes a $125 gift card to each participating boutique, totaling $500. Klupp said they will also draw four additional winners for gift baskets put together by the boutiques.
A percentage of sales will go to Rubies Women’s Group.
“We’re so excited to celebrate five years of the Boutique Crawl, but even more excited to use this milestone as an opportunity to pour back into our community,” she said.
Local boutique crawl highlights the importance of community
For Klupp, the weekend represents more than a chance to shop.
“Most importantly to me it’s community over competition,” she said.
“I absolutely love seeing the outpouring support from our community and meeting new faces and of course working with the other boutique owners to create a memorable weekend for the ladies in our community,” Klupp said.
Although all four businesses sell clothing, she said each boutique has its own style and can meet different shoppers’ needs.
“This weekend shows we can all come together for the community and show women the great places to shop,” Klupp said.
