Samuel “Sam” Philip Simmons, 30, of Mansfield, Ohio, passed away on June 13, 2026.
Born on October 13, 1995, in Mansfield, Ohio, Sam was the beloved son of Laura and Larry Simmons. He was a devoted husband to Allison Simmons, a loving father to Samson, Cora, Zion, and Riah Simmons, and a cherished brother to Scott and Stephen Simmons.
Sam was the kind of person who could light up any room. Known as the funniest guy in the crowd, he always had a joke ready and never missed an opportunity to make someone smile. His laughter, humor, and warm spirit brought joy to family, friends, and everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Sam’s life was also a testament to perseverance and redemption. He faced and overcame battles that required tremendous courage, determination, and faith. Rather than allowing his past to define him, Sam committed himself to becoming the man, husband, and father he wanted to be. He worked tirelessly to make amends for past mistakes and devoted himself to building a better future for his family. His children were his greatest motivation, and he poured his heart into being present for them, guiding them, loving them, and creating memories they will carry with them forever.
Above all else, Sam loved his family. Some of his happiest moments were spent outdoors with Allison and the children, whether fishing, exploring the woods, or enjoying time on the water. He loved riding scooters with his kids and could often be found with little Riah riding along on his back so no one would be left out of the adventure. The memories he created with his family will be treasured forever.
Sam was a hardworking man who devoted himself completely to those he loved. Everything he did was for his family, and he took great pride in providing for them, supporting them, and creating a life filled with love, laughter, and togetherness.
He leaves behind a legacy of devotion, kindness, humor, and unwavering love. Though his time here was far too short, the impact he made on the lives of those around him will never be forgotten.
Sam is survived by his wife, Allison Simmons; his children, Samson, Cora, Zion, and Riah Simmons; his parents, Laura and Larry Simmons; and his brothers, Scott and Stephen Simmons.
He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A memorial service will be held on Friday June 19, 2026 at 2:00PM at Ohio Cremation & Memorial Society, 9 Chambers Rd., Mansfield, Ohio 44906. Family and friends may call from 1:00PM-2:00PM. Celebrant Jerry Wilson will be conducting the services.
