Patricia I. Fruth, age 76, of Galion passed away, Saturday May 2, 2026, at her home surrounded by her family.
Born February 26, 1950 in Galion, she was the daughter of the late Gloyd and Elsie (Treisch) Frye. She married James Fruth on August 31, 1968, and he survives.
She was a 1968 graduate of Galion High School. She worked for many years assisting her father who was the Galion City Auditor. After raising her family, she worked until retirement at Walmart. She was baptized and married at the First Baptist Church of Galion. She enjoyed doting on her grandchildren and taking care of her family. She also liked game shows, coin collecting with her brother Patrick, collecting family history with her sister Margie, and finding and creating recipes. Her granddaughter wrote that she was the Grandest Ma of all.
She was very loving and gracious. She was a hard worker, honest, trustworthy and compassionate with a great sense of humor. Among her favorite things were her grandchildren, finding the perfect gifts, Sunday get-togethers, Hallmark movies, Dolly Parton, daisies, and an ice cold Coke a day.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children: Lisa (Stanley) Caldwell and Michael (Amanda) Fruth, grandchildren: Jacob Caldwell, Holly Caldwell, Adam (Haley) Caldwell, Megan Caldwell, Amy Caldwell and Logan Fruth, siblings: Margie Cline, Patrick Frye, Beverly Frye, Roy Frye and sister-in-law Nancy Frye as well as a great granddaughter on the way, Annabelle Caldwell.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers: Lowell, Joseph, Charles and Walter Frye.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM Friday May 8, 2026 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will follow at 12:00 PM with Celebrant Dave Roberts officiating.
