ONTARIO — Stingel Elementary School is proud to announce that 5th grade student Kristina Heins has had artwork chosen to be exhibition in the 2017 Ohio Art Education’s Association’s Youth Art Month Show.
The exhibition represents Ohio students in grades kindergarten through eighth and is on display at the State Teacher’s Retirement Systems (STRS) in Columbus, Ohio from Feb. 27 through March 26.
There were 111 pieces selected for the juried show from the nine regions of the state that represent OAEA. The exhibit is sponsored by Ohio Art Education Association which is the professional organization for art teachers in Ohio.
OAEA works to promote the arts and recognizes quality student art throughout the state through various exhibits at state and regional levels. The Youth Art Month Show comes about through many volunteer hours by art teachers in the state of Ohio.
Kristina’s art work was submitted for the show by Mrs. Mary Roby, art educator at Stingel Elementary School. A reception and awards ceremony will be held at the STRS building on Saturday, March 11 for the young artists, their families and teachers.
