Ruth Marie Berry, 92 of Lucas, went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at her home with her loving family by her side.
Ruth was born on September 11, 1934, in Wooster, to A.I. and Lena Davis. She graduated from Wooster High School in 1952, and on June 26, 1955, she married the love of her life Lyle Berry. Ruth loved the Lord and was a member of Pleasant Valley Lutheran Church. She never missed attending her Wednesday night bible study group. She enjoyed bowling and square-dancing and was a member of the Appleseed Square Dance Club for many years with her husband, Lyle. Ruth was an avid Buckeyes fan and was always ready to watch their next game. She loved to spend the day shopping with her sister, Betty, and the two of them always finished their time together with hot fudge sundaes. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, loved attending their sporting events and spending time with them whenever she could. Above all, Ruth loved people and was known to be like a mom to everyone she met.
She is survived by her daughter Barbara (Randy) Endsley of Lucas; six grandchildren, Randy (Jessica) Patton of Portland, Oregon, Ryan (Nicole) Patton of Lexington, Malorie (Cory) Wenzel of Lexington, Lyle Berry Endsley of Lucas, Randy Lee (Katy) Endsley of Ashland, and Tim Endsley of Orrville; twelve great-grandchildren, Alexander, Cameron, Emma, Ethan, Leah, Grady, Bayley, Sydney, Evan, Andrew, Connor, Kyle; many nieces and nephews; and a very special person in her life, Sally Lehman Caskey.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lyle Berry; her son Michael Lyle Berry; her siblings Betty Auble, William Davis, and Robert Davis; and her parents A.I. and Lena Davis
Ruth’s family will hold a graveside service at a later date.
