William L Beverage, 78 of Waverly, OH died Wednesday, September 23, 2026 at Edgewood Manor Healthcare Center, Port Clinton, OH under Hospice Care. He was born August 26, 1948 in Mansfield, OH to the late Alvin and Wanda (Patterson) Beverage. Bill was a graduate of Ashland High School and The Ohio State University. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.
William was a proud member of the NRA, Buckeye Allis-Chalmers Club, Square Dancing Group, and competitive shooting clubs around the Waverly and Piketon Areas. He retired in 2003 from the United States Post Office where he was a Maintenance Supervisor for many Post Offices in the Ohio and West Virginia Area.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years Rita (Connors) Beverage of Piketon, OH; children: Heather (Jason) Hissong of Nova, OH, David (Jennifer) Beverage of North Fairfield, OH, Keith (Jenny) Beverage of Plymouth, OH, and Patrick (Cassan) Beverage of Casper, WY; grandchildren: Aleigha Hissong, Tyler (Taylor) Beverage, Samuel (Marissa) Beverage, Colton Beverage, Nicole Beverage, Taylor Beverage, Peyton Beverage, Greyson Beverage, and Marlowe Beverage; great-grandchildren: Tessa and Lena Beverage; step-granddaughter Alysan Miller, and step-great grandson Hudson Bennett; brother Jake Beverage.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Karen Ann Beverage, and stepson Alex Miller.
Services for William will be held privately by the family. Those wishing to make contributions are asked to give to any local animal shelter.
