Ghostlight Cabaret: Dating (And The Search For Love) Featuring Lisa Fishman
Friday, October 23, 2026 at 7:30 PM
Singer, actress, songwriter, and recording artist Lisa Fishman opens the series with Dating (And The Search For Love), a comic cabaret with a heart featuring Fishman’s original songs about the trials, tribulations, and occasional absurdities that come with searching for true love.
Moving from rock and jazz to folk, pop, and musical theatre, Fishman explores the eternal question: Is finding true love actually worth everything we go through to get there? The evening blends comedy with more touching reflections on dating and relationships, all through Fishman’s original music.
Fishman has performed throughout the United States and Europe in Off-Broadway and regional musical theatre. Renaissance audiences recently saw her as Golde in the Mansfield Symphony’s Fiddler on the Roof. She has also appeared Off-Broadway as Yente the Matchmaker and Bobe Tsaytl in the Yiddish-language production of Fiddler on the Roof, directed by Oscar and Tony Award winner Joel Grey.
Her work extends from musical theatre and cabaret to television, voiceover, recording, and performances with klezmer ensembles, including Chicago’s Maxwell Street Klezmer Band.

The series concludes with Adena King, a classically trained vocalist whose more than 40 years of performance experience span musical theatre, classical music, country, and jazz.
King has appeared in numerous Renaissance productions, with favorite roles including Maria in The Sound of Music, Anna in The King and I, Violet in 9 to 5, and Mary Jane in Big River. She studied Vocal Performance at Brigham Young University before working professionally at New Market Dinner Theater in Columbus and later traveling throughout Ohio performing with country music bands.
King subsequently discovered a love for jazz, performing regularly throughout the Mid-Ohio area under the tutelage of Dr. Tom Croghan. She has also served as stage director for Children’s Opera Theater at Richland Academy of the Arts and as a featured soloist with summer MPTF Concert and Jazz Bands.
Her April performance brings that lifetime of musical influences together for the final Ghostlight Cabaret of the season.
The Ghostlight Lounge is located beneath the Renaissance Theatre lobby at 138 Park Avenue West in Mansfield. With limited capacity for each performance, advance ticket purchases are encouraged.
Tickets and the three-show package are available through the Renaissance Box Office, Tuesday through Friday from 12:00–5:00 PM, by calling 419-522-2726, or online at rentickets.org.
