Jerry Gabler, age 89, of Galion city passed away Thursday, September 3, 2026 at Millcreek nursing Center.
Born March 16, 1937 in Tarentum, Pennsylvania, he was the son of John and Ruby (Kunselman) Gabler. He married the love of his life Connie Titus on November 24, 1962, and she survives.
Jerry was a member of UAW 549 and worked 26 years at General Motors as a press operator. Jerry was a veteran and proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. Jerry loved working on cars; he enjoyed restoring cars and helping others in any way he could. He was a hard worker and liked to build and remodel; he spent good quality time working on their home. Some of his other pass times included hunting, fishing, and watching all the classic TV shows.
In addition to his wife, Connie (Titus) Gabler, he is survived by his daughters, Christine (Scott) Sedmak and Karen (Michael) Eddington; his son, Michael (Tina) Gabler; his grandchildren, Megan (Nathan) Porter, Matthew Hardeman, Caitlin (Hunter) Smith, Brandon (Aly) Gabler, Sean (Brittany) Eddington, Bailee (Korbyn) Huston, and Kyle (Brianna) Eddington; great-grandchildren, Haylee, Aaliyah, Madison, Hannah, Harper, Halston, Marlee, Parker, Grace, Kinslee, Meeah, Brody, Taylor, and Ellie; his siblings, Judy Zanoli, Ronald Gabler, Susan Morris, Kenny (Donna) Gabler; and sister in-law, Nila Gabler.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert Gabler, Gary Gabler, and Jack Gabler.
The family will receive friends from 4:00pm to 6:00pm Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will follow at 6:00pm with Pastor Paul Walter officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Mill Creek Nursing Center Activity Fund.
