Jeffrey Alan Pfleiderer, age 67, a lifelong resident of Mansfield, OH was born on November 29, 1958, to his parents, Richard M. and Joan E. (Kunkle) Pfleiderer. He passed peacefully on August 28, 2026.
Jeff was a very kind and happy person who greeted everyone with a big smile. He attended Richland New Hope School, where he made many wonderful memories. Jeff enjoyed many activities throughout his life, including bowling, putt-putt golf, swimming, camping at Lake Erie, playing pool, and spending time with his family at the lake. He especially enjoyed bowling and had the opportunity to compete at several Special Olympics events in Columbus.
A devoted Cleveland Indians (now Guardians) fan, Jeff loved cheering on his team. He also enjoyed going to see the Red Ball Jets and listening to their music. After graduating, Jeff went to work at New Hope Industries, where his dedication and hard work were recognized when he was named Employee of the Year in 2009.
Jeff was a member of Main Global Methodist Church and truly enjoyed attending the services. He also looked forward to getting up each morning and attending the adult day facility at Silver Lining, where he enjoyed spending time with others.
Above all, Jeff cherished his family. Holiday meals and gatherings were always special occasions for him, and some of his happiest memories were made simply spending time with the people he loved. Jeff’s kind heart, joyful spirit, and wonderful smile touched everyone who knew him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Jeff is survived by his mother, Joan Pfleiderer; brother, David (Debbie) Pfleiderer; half-sister, Kathleen Mitchell; niece, Abby (Brian) Myers; nephew, Ezra (Ania) Ardolino; great nephews, Ethan and Ezra Myers; great nieces, Eva Myers, Hanna, Dalila, and Somer Ardolino; and cousin, Brenda (Steven) Ellcessor.
Preceding him in death were his father, Richard Pfleiderer; and his niece, Vicky Pfleiderer.
Family and friends may visit from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield, OH 44902. The funeral will follow at 1:00 pm. Jeff will be laid to rest at Mansfield Cemetery.
