MANSFIELD — The Colts are in the catbird seat.

Clear Fork took over the top spot in Region 14 of Division IV when the Ohio High School Athletic Association released its second of six weekly football ratings Tuesday.

The top 12 teams in each of the 28 regions across seven enrollment division qualify for the playoffs. The top four teams in each region get a first-round bye.

Clear Fork (5-1) was third in the initial ratings, but leap-frogged Sandusky Perkins and Shelby thanks to last week’s 21-7 win over Division II Marion Harding. The Colts have a 12.55 average.

Perkins (11.7) is second and Shelby (11.0833) is third. The Colts host undefeated Shelby (6-0) on Friday.

Unbeaten Ontario held firm at No. 2 in Region 10 of Division III. The Warriors (12.2833) still trail undefeated Celina (13.3833).

Ontario hosts Marion Harding on Friday.
