MANSFIELD — For Salon Vivacé owner Lisa Rose, the business at 18 W. Fourth St. is about more than helping clients look their best. It’s also about creating a place where people feel welcome.
The full-service salon in downtown Mansfield offers haircuts, color, styling and extensions alongside skincare treatments, nail services, permanent jewelry, lash extensions, facials and other beauty and self-care services.
“We’ve created a welcoming, supportive space where everyone feels seen, valued, and inspired,” Rose said. “Our mission is simple: to empower and uplift every client by providing a space where beauty meets connection.”
Salon Vivacé is also a Wella Professional salon, using the brand’s hair care products alongside its styling and color services. Rose said the variety of offerings allows clients to find the types of beauty and self-care services they might associate with a larger city without leaving Mansfield.
That list is continuing to grow. Salon Vivacé is expanding and renovating a portion of its building this year to create a full spa.
The business has grown to more than 40 staff members, functioning as an incubator for local entrepreneurs by housing roughly 30 independent business owners who rent space within the salon and its suite concept, “The Lofts.” Booking a service at Salon Vivacé directly supports dozens of local, women-led small businesses.
Rose, a Crestview High School graduate who was born and raised in Mansfield, took over Salon Vivacé from its previous owner. She saw the opportunity as a way to continue the salon while building a workplace where women could develop professionally, gain confidence and achieve greater financial independence.
That dedication to uplifting Mansfield is a family affair. Rose and her family are deeply invested in Richland County across multiple fronts: her husband, David, operates StepMobile Technology out of the News Journal building, her son, Tristan, restores local houses through Gardner Property Group to provide high-quality housing, and her daughter-in-law, Lynsey, operates Color Curated Studio. For the Rose family, building up the local community is a shared mission.
That emphasis on connection extends to the salon’s clients, who come primarily from Mansfield, Ashland and Lexington. Rose said the goal is to make luxury beauty services accessible and welcoming to everyone—from local healthcare workers and retail staff to students and mothers—while maintaining an atmosphere that is relaxed, social and completely free of judgment.
With the school season approaching, Salon Vivacé is encouraging customers to explore its range of services for beauty, relaxation and self-care.
