Richard Samuel Linger, 46, passed away on July 29, 2026. He was born on March 29, 1980, in Tacoma, Washington. In 1990, he moved to Ohio with his family when his father retired from the United States Air Force. He graduated from Mansfield Senior High School in 1998. While still in high school, Richard began working at Meijer, where he dedicated nearly 30 years of service. He was well-liked and respected by his coworkers, who knew him for his kindness and dedication. Richard was an avid sports fan who proudly supported Ohio teams. He also enjoyed gambling at casinos.
He is survived by his mother, Stephanie Linger; sisters, Mary Linger, Teresa Linger, Sarah Linger, and Felicia (Adam) Studer; brothers, Thomas Linger Jr. and Adam Linger and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Linger Sr.
Richard will be remembered for his hardworking nature, his love of sports, and the many friendships he made throughout his life. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
