Beulah Mae (Roberts) Montgomery, 92, of Galion, Ohio entered into the presence of the Lord on August 2, 2026. She will be remembered for her compassion for people and her love for God. Beulah was born January 7,1934, in Fairview, Marion County, West Virginia to the late Walter G. Roberts and Stella E. (Frieze) Roberts.
Beulah graduated from Roosevelt-Wilson High School in Clarksburg, WV, and married the late G. Lawrence Montgomery in 1951 and the two became one for 70 years. They were members of the Church of Christ in Bucyrus, OH.
In 1953, she, Lawrence and their daughter moved to Loudonville, Ohio and there she had two more children. While in Loudonville, she worked part-time at Buzzards Shoe Store. She loved shoes! In 1969, they moved to Galion, Ohio and became the owners of the Iberia Machine Shop, Iberia, OH, where she was the secretary. They retired after 25 years.
She loved to talk on the phone. She worked as a telephone operator in Galion for a while and volunteered at Galion Community Hospital (Avita). She would assist people over the phone and in person.
Beulah was very talented. She was a baker and baked and decorated cakes of all kinds for many occasions, but was best known for her wedding cakes she made for friends and family. She was creative in crafting and sewing, but her biggest accomplishment was becoming an artist. Her beautiful paintings are in many places to enjoy and were on display at an exhibit at Galion Community Hospital where she was recognized for her detailed work. She also learned to play upright bass to accompany Lawrence on guitar. They loved to go camping at Bluegrass Festivals and made many friends.
