Paul Edward Carroll Sr. of Mansfield passed away at Avita Health System-Ontario Hospital on Thursday, July 23, 2026. He was 79 years old.
Born on July 21, 1947, in Campton, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Cordia (Tyler) and Captain Carroll. Paul was a member of Laborers Local #1216 Union, retiring after 40 plus years of service in the construction business. He was an avid hunter—especially coon hunting—and lovingly cared for his hounds. Most of all, Paul will be remembered as a loving father and grandfather.
He is survived by two children, Paul (Lisa) Carroll Jr. and Julie (Keith) Porch; two grandchildren, Logan and Christian Carroll; five great-grandchildren, Annaliese Carroll, Eli Kinser, Raylinn Carroll, Brinlee Kinser and Lilah Carroll; a brother, Ray Carroll; and many cherished family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six siblings, Wendell Carroll, Roscoe Carroll, J.B. Carroll, Russell Carroll, Geneva Vice, and Rosalyn “Rose” Davidson.
A celebration of Paul’s life will be held at a future date.
