Richard “Rich” J. Brandeburg, 76, of Crestline, passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2026, at his residence with his loving wife by his side.

Rich was born on March 18, 1950, in Kittanning, PA to the late Paul and Josephine (Suwala) Brandeburg. On February 5, 1972, Rich married the love of his life, Linda Fisher. Together they shared 54 years of a wonderful marriage.

Rich was a 1968 graduate of Ford City High School. He continued his education at New Castle Business College, where he earned his associate degree.

Rich enjoyed a successful career with PPG Industries, where he worked as a Distribution Manager. After 40½ years of dedicated service, he retired in 2012 while living in Dover, Delaware.

A devoted man of faith, Rich and Linda were active members of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was also a proud member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 859 in Crestline, Ohio; Elks Lodge #829 in St. Augustine, Florida; and the Knights of Columbus in Crestline, Ohio.

Throughout his retirement, Rich found great fulfillment in volunteering. He gave his time to Meals on Wheels in both Ohio and Florida, volunteered at Flagler Hospital in St. Augustine, and welcomed visitors at the Fort Matanzas National Monument Visitor Center in St. Augustine. He believed in giving back to his community and was always willing to lend a helping hand.

Rich loved watching and feeding the birds, swimming, and spending time by the water and on the beach. An avid runner, Rich completed five marathons during his lifetime, demonstrating the determination and perseverance that defined him. Alongside Linda, he also participated in a three-day, 60-mile cancer walk, supporting the fight against cancer and reflecting their shared commitment to helping others.

In addition to his wife, Linda, Rich is survived by his sisters-in-law; Sandy Bauer, Nancy Cozad and Judy Brandeburg, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and Godchildren.

In addition to his parents, Rich was preceded in death by his brothers, John and George Brandeburg.

Friends may call on Friday, July 31, 2026, from 10:30am until 11:30am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 331 N. Thoman St., Crestline. A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 11:30am with Father Jeff Smith officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or St. Joseph Catholic Church or School.
