Marilyn E Stander, age 89, peacefully went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 17, 2026 in Arcadia, Fla. Born August 2, 1936 to Leonard and Carrie Ebbert in Mansfield, Ohio.
She received her diploma from Mansfield Senior High at the age of 16. Then furthered her education at Mansfield Business College. Most of her life in the office atmosphere. When she worked at Borden’s in Mansfield, she was the voice of Elsie the cow.
On Jan 3, 1995 she married William Stander. In 1999 they bought a ranch outside of Arcadia Florida where they re-established Stander Bred Stables. Later they joined the Cattlemen’s Association and began raising cattle instead of horses. Marilyn also enjoyed gardening Florida’s exotic flowers and plants and raising chickens.
She was especially fond of her church family and sang in the choir. Once she was invited to sing at Carnegie Hall. She truly enjoyed worshiping her Heavenly Father and the joy in her heart was always evident.
She was preceded in death by her husband William Stander and her parents.
Surviving is her daughter Becky Delahunty and son David (Judy) Hedrick. Grandchildren Mark Hedrick, Chad(Forever) Hedrick and Kyle(Maria) Hedrick and Great grandchildren Maddie, Skyla, Corbin, Marlowe, Raydia and Haysel Hedrick.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held August 1 at Westwood Alliance Church at 11:00 am led by Pastor Doyle Peyton . Burial will be at Mansfield Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to
one’s favorite charity
