MANSFIELD — The Richland County Development Group Art Sector will host a closing reception for artist Ken Arthur’s exhibit on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at 101 Tea Shop, 101 N. Main St.
The reception will give visitors an opportunity to meet Arthur, discuss his work and artistic process, and network with other local artists. Refreshments will be provided.

Founded in 2008 following Richland County’s bicentennial celebration, the Art Sector is a volunteer-led organization dedicated to supporting the local arts community through advocacy, collaboration and funding opportunities for artists, organizations and cultural projects.
The organization recently expanded its partnership with 101 Tea Shop, where owner Braxton Daniels has designated a 15-foot gallery wall for local artists to display and sell their work.
The gallery’s inaugural exhibit featured surrealist paintings by Neil Yoder. Arthur’s found-art sculptures are currently on display, and artwork by Jo Westfall will be featured beginning later this month.
Art Sector President Bryan Gladden said the organization is seeking additional artists to fill remaining exhibition dates in 2026. Painters, photographers, sculptors and fiber artists are encouraged to apply.
Under the gallery agreement, 10% of artwork sales supports 101 Tea Shop, 10% benefits the Art Sector, and the artist receives the remaining proceeds after taxes.
November and December exhibitions will focus on artwork priced under $100 to encourage holiday gift purchases and support local artists.
In addition to gallery exhibits, the Art Sector has launched a monthly networking program called Artist Round Table. The informal gatherings provide opportunities for artists and arts supporters to share ideas, discuss projects and participate in critiques.
The group’s most recent Round Table featured a critique of sculptor Brad Cook’s work. Future sessions are being scheduled in partnership with 101 Tea Shop.
The Art Sector also holds monthly meetings on the fourth Thursday of each month at 101 Tea Shop. The next meeting is scheduled for June 25.
Gladden said the organization is preparing for another Manafest Arts Festival in downtown Mansfield, with artist vendor applications expected to be released soon.
Planning is also underway for the annual Field of Monsters art show in partnership with The Phoenix Brewing Company. Additional details and artist registration information are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
Artists, arts organizations, businesses and nonprofit groups interested in collaboration are encouraged to attend meetings and events.
