SHELBY — The Whippets and Colts will settle things in the postseason.
Shelby earned the No. 3 seed in Sunday’s Division IV baseball tournament draw and will host No. 5 Clear Fork in a sectional final at 5 p.m. May 20.
The Whippets (10-9) and Colts (8-15) split the regular season series in Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference action. Each team won on its home field.
Also in Division IV, fourth-seeded Ontario and third-seeded Galion will open tournament play at home.
The Warriors (12-8) welcome No. 6 Clyde at 5 p.m. May 20. The Tigers (13-6) entertain No. 4 Elida at 5 p.m. May 20.
Division III
Surging Lexington will host Tiffin Columbian for a Division III sectional semifinal at 5 p.m. May 19.
The Minutemen (11-8) have won six of their last seven after a slow start.
Madison (10-12) will visit Wapakoneta for a sectional final at 5 p.m. May 21. Mansfield Senior (0-18) is at Lima Shawnee at 5 p.m. May 19.
Division VI
Crestview (8-7) entertains New London at 2 p.m. May 23 in a Division VI sectional final. The Cougars swept the season series with the Wildcats in Firelands Conference play.
Mansfield Christian (1-11) will visit Monroeville at 2 p.m. May 23.
Division VII
Third-seeded Plymouth (10-8) will host No. 7 Crestline (5-13) in a Division VII sectional final at 5 p.m. May 22.
Lucas (7-6) will welcome Buckeye Central at 5 p.m. May 22.
