Marjorie Jean (Lamb) Fix, age 86, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at Crystal Care Centers of Mansfield.
Marjorie was born on August 29, 1939, in Bucyrus, Ohio, to the late Fred and Eva (Shuster) Lamb. After high school, she met the love of her life, Thomas Fix, and the two were united in marriage in Marion, Ohio, on April 26, 1958-beginning a lifelong journey of love, partnership, and devotion.
Marjorie was a woman of deep and steady faith. She was a longtime member of the First Church of God, and even when she was no longer able to attend services, her faith remained an important and guiding presence in her life. She gave back to her community through her involvement with Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, where she took part in service projects that reflected her caring and generous spirit. Marjorie also found great joy in supporting her community through Shelby Whippet Athletics. She was a proud and loyal fan, particularly of the Lady Whippets, and cherished the time spent attending girls’ basketball and softball games with her son.
As a devoted homemaker, Marjorie was truly the heart of her home. She expressed her love in countless quiet and meaningful ways-through a home-cooked meal, a hand-sewn creation, or the care she poured into her garden. Everything she touched carried a sense of warmth and intention. She had an extraordinary gift for sewing and could often recreate clothing she had seen in stores, adding her own personal touch. Her generosity shone especially bright when her daughter Anna made quilts for unwed mothers in need, and Marjorie lovingly took the extra step to create matching dresses for their young daughters.
She had a special way of making every season feel magical. Her home was always beautifully decorated, reflecting her love for holidays and traditions, and it became a place where family felt welcomed, comfortable, and deeply loved. More than anything, Marjorie treasured time spent with those she held dear-sharing meals, laughter, and simple moments that became lasting memories.
Her life was defined by love, kindness, and quiet generosity, and those who knew her will carry her memory in their hearts always.
She is survived by; three daughters, Debbra Allamon of Mansfield, Anna Parrish of Tiro, Ohio, and Diana (Steve) Andrews of Crestline, Ohio; five grandchildren, Christina Moore of Shelby, Amy Jo Shore of Mansfield, Jeremy Norton of Crestline, Nicole Andrews of Crestline, and Danielle Keller of Tiro; eight great-grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas Fix in 2026; her son, Thomas M. “Tommy” Fix II; grandchildren, Benjamin Andrews and Nick Keller; brother, John Daniel Lamb; and son-in-law, Wayne Parrish.
