Candace Ann Hollins-Brokaw, age 77, of Mansfield, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2026 in Ohio Health Mansfield Hospital after a year long courageous battle with cancer. She was born on March 28, 1949 in Galion to the late Dean and Betty Price English.
Candace was a proud Galion Tiger, graduating in the class of 1967. She had a caring, nurturing soul which made her career choice as an Emergency Room Nurse an easy one. Candace was a dedicated employee of Galion Community Hospital for 37 years.
Once Candace retired, she along with her husband, Jeff enjoyed vacationing to Arizona in the winter and Myrtle Beach in the summer. Relaxing, playing golf and trying various types of cuisine were some of her favorite things to do.
Candace will be fondly remembered by her loving husband, Jeff Brokaw; her daughter, Keri Roth; her step-son, Jeffrey (Lauren) Brokaw; her sister, Jill (Gary) Miller; her niece, Angie; her nephew, Trent. She also leaves behind her grandson, Richard John Brokaw and several other grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Michael; her daughter, Deana; her first husband, Keith Hollins.
