Patricia Ann Tanner, 80, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 30, 2026, at UH Medical Center of Ashland.
She was born on April 2, 1945, in Ashland, Ohio, to Clair McClure and Hazel Miller McClure. A lifelong resident of the area, Patricia held a deep love for her hometown and the people in it.
Patricia’s greatest joy was time spent with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She found simple happiness in the beauty of nature, spending countless hours watching birds, butterflies, and tending to flowers she so dearly loved. These quiet moments brought her peace and reflected her gentle spirit.
Patricia is survived by her children, Ty (Kathy Bookman) Tanner, Perry (Cheryl) Tanner Jr., Teresa (Clinton) French; her dearly loved grandchildren, Jason, Miranda (Chris), Kody (Montana), Michael (Jessica), Brandon (Alyssa), Logan (Dana), Matthew (Molly), and A’Sheena; her great-grandchildren, Copelynn, Morgan, Mercedes, Kaleb, Alexis, Reagan, Layna, Karsyn, Hadley, Blakely, Bexley, Camden, Makayla and two more on the way; and four brothers, Andy McClure, Toby McClure, Ernie (Brenda) McClure, and Jake McClure.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Perry Tanner; her siblings, Larry McClure and Peg McClure; sisters-in-law, Peggy McClure and Cheryl McClure; her great-grandchildren, Makenzie and Maddison French; and nephew, Davey McClure.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Davey McClure Foundation in care of Ashland County Parks District. Advantage Funeral and Cremation Services by Wappner is honored to serve the Tanner family.
