Ida Martha (Foote) Milligan, age 91, passed away peacefully in Mansfield on Wednesday, January 14, 2026. Ida was born in Gambier, Ohio, to Elmer and Isabel (Boling) Huffman.
She loved gardening, canning, mushroom and ginseng hunting, fishing, and her favorite thing to do was to dig dandelions out of her yard. She was a lover of animals and had many pets.
Ida is survived by her husband, Ronald Milligan; her daughter, Debbie Valerio; step daughter, Melinda Milligan; step daughter, Ronda Rehm; grandchildren, Amanda Evans, Jennifer Dunning, Jessica Smith, Scott Citrowske, James Foote, Debbie Ernsberger, Adam Rehm, and Ashley Rehm; step grandchildren, Joe Valerio, Robert Valerio and Andrea Valerio Walker; 17 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren, and her sisters, Jane Ernsberger and Lucinda Bohnas.
Ida was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Oliver Gene Foote; son Edmund Foote; daughter, Cheryl Massey; daughter, Patricia Ellis;; granddaughter, Sandra Stimens; great-grandson, Zachary David Evans brother, William Huffman; sister, Ruth Gale; and half-brother, Mike Witgenfeld.
A gathering will be held on Monday January 19, 2026, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM at Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield, OH 44902.
