Chad Michael Nusbaum, age 52, of Mansfield, passed away Saturday, December 20, 2025, at his home.
Born September 16, 1973, in Mansfield, Ohio, he was employed at Sam’s Club. Known affectionately as “Melon”, he was the life of the party. Being outspoken and not at all shy, he made many friends. Chad was an amazing cook and often cooked at the Elks. He was a father figure to his nieces and nephews and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with them. The lakes were like a second home, and he received a lot of pleasure from camping and touring around in his golf cart.
Chad is survived by his mother, Margaret Turner Nusbaum; six siblings, Kimberly Nusbaum, Shawn Nusbaum DeVeny, Eric Nusbaum, John (Vickie) Nusbaum, Carl Nusbaum and Jennifer Nusbaum; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, John J. Nusbaum.
A gathering of friends and family will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, from 5:00-6:00 pm at Wappner Funeral Directors and Crematory-Ontario, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. A memorial service will immediately follow at 6:00 pm.
