MANSFIELD — Richland Newhope Industries, Inc. (RNI, Inc.) announced Tuesday that the organization has received a three-year accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) with zero areas of deficiency within its Community Employment Services.
This prestigious distinction places RNI, Inc. among only 3% of CARF-accredited programs internationally to achieve a three-year accreditation term without any recommendations for improvement.
For individuals, families, and community partners, CARF accreditation signifies that services are designed and delivered using the highest quality standards in the field.
RNI, Inc.’s Community Employment Department remains committed to supporting individuals with disabilities as they access, secure, and maintain meaningful employment throughout the community.
Currently, individuals supported by RNI, Inc. are employed at more than 75 local businesses and organizations.
Brian J. Boon, President of CARF, praised the organization’s achievement, stating, “This accomplishment is an indication of your organization’s dedication and commitment to
improving the quality of the lives of the persons served. CARF commends Richland Newhope Industries, Inc. for its ongoing commitment and consistent efforts to
strengthen the quality of its programs and services.”
Why this matters
In 2024, only 22.7% of individuals with disabilities in the United States were employed — compared to 65.5% of individuals without disabilities.
Employment increases independence, community involvement, financial stability, and sense of purpose for individuals with disabilities while also reducing reliance on public assistance.
Research consistently shows that employees with disabilities have equal or higher performance, attendance, and safety outcomes, and often maintain lower turnover rates compared to the general workforce.
Employers, community members, and business partners are encouraged to consider expanding opportunities for individuals with disabilities and supporting inclusive workforce practices. To learn more about employment services or partnership opportunities, visit www.rniinc.com.
