Jacqueline Myrtle Emmert completed her last struggle and went to be at peace with her husband of 71 years, Ted Emmert, on January 11, 2026 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Jacque was a proud mother, grandmother, great and great-great grandmother, a faithful member of Barcelona Road Baptist Church, and became an instant friend to everyone she met. She was a resident of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas for the past 50 years before her current home at Liberty Park in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

Born to Robert A. and Wilda Kollman on August 15, 1935, Jacque was a resident of Kendallville, Indiana until residing in London and Lebanon, Ohio from 1956 until 1959 when Ted’s work took her to Marshall, Michigan where she helped raise many children before moving to Hot Springs Village in 1975. In the village, Jacque enjoyed meeting people while working at Mary Ann’s Diner, Dottie’s Flower Shop, and many years at the Village Health Mart.

In her free time, Jacque loved to knit, read, work in her flower beds, and spending much dedicated time caring for her husband. She loved traveling and was always looking for an adventure.

Jacque lead the prayer shawl ministry at her church for many years and never missed a chance to teach someone to knit or the opportunity to share the story of why she always wore a butterfly.

In addition to her parents and husband Jacque was preceded in death by; her brother: Robert W. Kollman; and one grandson: Michael Matern.

She leaves behind; daughters: Dee Nee Debra Emmert of Richmond, California, Reba (Joseph) Matern of Mansfield, Ohio, Kyla Tyler of Jonesboro, Arkansas; one son: Nathaniel Emmert (Joyce Gardner) of Tallahassee, Florida; grandchildren: Benjamin Emmert-Aronson (Avra Goldman), Jacob Emmert-Aronson, Greg Matern (Nita), Danielle Kent Foulson (Marty), Zachary Tyler (Lauren), Rebekah Border (Clint), Cyrus Grenat, Ilex Grenat; great grandchildren: Theodore Emmert-Aronson, Hazel Goldman, Cody Matern (Brandi), Kyle Matern (Brooke), Olivia Rayburn (Chayce), Miles Dempster, Madison Dempster, Megan Tyler, Robert Tyler, Aubree Burden, Brantley Borden, Magnolia Borden; great-great grandchildren: Lilly Matern, Carter Matern, Kane Matern, Grayson Matern; her cherished cat: Fantome; and a host of other family and friends.

A celebration of Jacque’s life will be held at Liberty Park Senior Living on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at 11:00 a.m.
