Patricia Ann Boone, age 78, passed away Thursday, January 8, 2026 in Ohio Health Mansfield. She was born in Mansfield on June 24, 1947 to the late Malcolm & Alice Boone.

Patricia was a proud Clear Fork High School graduate, class of 1965. She furthered her education receiving her bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University in 1971. Patricia was the speech/language therapist for the former Mohican Juvenile Correctional Facility as well as the Ashland County School System.

She was a faithful member of the First Wesleyan Church in Ontario since 2013. She belonged to several prayer groups over the years and enjoyed serving the Lord by serving others. In her spare time you could find her bird watching, especially hummingbirds. If she was watching television you can bet on the show being either Wheel of Fortune or Jeopardy; she was a devout fan of both. Things that brought her joy were her monthly card games with several of her life long friends, all friends since grade school. Patricia also enjoyed giving gifts to friends and took pride in the small details involved with selecting the gift. She was also an animal lover and enjoyed time spent playing the piano. Patricia had no distant friends, if she knew you, she would always call you, make sure you were okay and never hesitated to pray for you. The most important part of her life was spending time with her family and friends.

Patricia will be fondly remembered by her siblings, Daniel J “Dan” (Laurie) Boone of Bellville, Deborah Collins of Mansfield, Rebekah Landers of Columbus, Barbara (Tony) Thorpe of Crestline. She also leaves behind nine nieces and nephews as well as her caregiver and dear friend, Marlene Gee of Mansfield. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her nephew, Evan Guth.

A celebration honoring Pat’s life and faith will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, January 17, 2026 at First Wesleyan Church, 1908 Park Avenue West in Ontario with Rev. Diego Sandino Bustos officiating.
