MANSFIELD — Ian Kravitt was sentenced to more than two decades behind bars after pleading guilty on Nov. 3 to 20-plus counts related to sexually explicit images of children.
The 45-year-old pleaded guilty to 25 of the 26 charges on his indictment, according to Richland County Common Pleas Court records. Kravitt was sentenced to 23 years in prison.
Those charges included 22 counts of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor or impaired person and three counts of illegal use of a minor or impaired person in a nudity-oriented material or performance.
A single count of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor or impaired person was dismissed.
“In his (Kravitt’s) phone, he had different images of sexually explicit, nude photos of children,” Teri Burnside, Richland County First Assistant Prosecutor, said in October.
Kravitt was arrested in October 2024 after an investigation by the Internet Crimes Against Children task force, Burnside said in October.
He was also declared a Tier III sex offender, which means Kravitt will have to register with the county sheriff wherever he lives every 90 days for life after he is released from prison.
Kravitt was granted 130 days of jail credit for time already served at the Richland County Sheriff’s Office. He was also sentenced to up to five years of mandatory post-release control.
