Stephen “Steve” Ray Musgrave, 71, of Galion, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at his residence. Stephen was born on May 11, 1954, in Galion, Ohio, to the late Harold and Mary (Lehman) Musgrave.

He graduated from Northmor High School in 1972 and continued his education at Lincoln Technical Institute, where he earned his certification in auto and diesel mechanics. He went on to build a long and fulfilling career as a skilled mechanic, working with dedication and expertise at several respected dealerships.

On April 17, 1992, Steve married his beloved wife, Jackie (Karl) Musgrave, beginning a devoted partnership that blossomed into 33 wonderful years of love, laughter, and unwavering companionship.

Steve was a man who found joy in life’s simple, earthly gifts. He loved spending quiet mornings hunting and fishing, and took great pride in tending to his gardens, whether nurturing vibrant flowers or cultivating the vegetables he shared with family and friends. He had a natural talent for fixing things and a craftsman’s touch for woodworking, creating pieces that reflected both patience and care. Through the lens of his camera, he captured the world as he saw it: full of wonder, light, and beauty. Above all, Steve cherished his family with a fierce and unwavering love, and he embraced every moment with them as life’s greatest blessing.

Left to cherish Steve’s memory are his wife, Jackie; his children, Stephanie (Ian) Witt, Jonathan (Laura) Musgrave, Stephen J. (Heather) Musgrave, and Andrew Musgrave; his grandchildren, Lyle Witt, Dylan Musgrave, Ezra Witt, Ellie Musgrave, Neko Witt, Adalynn Musgrave, Warren Musgrave, and Logan Musgrave; his sister, Barbara Stone; and his cherished lifelong friend, Thomas Teetrick.

In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by his grandchild, Owen C. Smith.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Musgrave family or to Tranquility Hospice.
