William Fred Lemaster, 82, of Bellville, slipped from this world unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at OhioHealth Hospital. Born on April 19, 1943, in the hills of Kentucky to Wiley and Una Nell (Caudill) Lemaster.
Life took a beautiful turn the day a mutual friend introduced him to a young woman from Marysville, Ohio—Rosille Stidam. Their first date was simple: just a shared meal. But the connection was undeniable. On July 12, 1969, in Marion, Ohio, they promised each other a lifetime. And William kept that promise. Rosille was the center of his world—his sweetheart, his partner, and the great love of his life.
A hardworking man, William spent his career as a truck driver in the oil industry. He traveled the highways and backroads of America, proud of the work he did and prouder still of the family he supported along the way.
At home, William found joy in simple, handcrafted pleasures—shaping leather with patience, building model trucks with precision, and settling in to watch a good western. But nothing lit up his face like his family. His children and grandchildren were his pride; his great-grandson Waylon, his delight.
He is survived by his devoted wife and lifelong love, Rosille Lemaster; his children William “Bill” Lemaster Jr. (Stephanie), Brian Lemaster, and Annette (Mark) Mollohan; grandchildren Chelsea, Heather, Ashley, Matthew, Tyler, Amanda (Keith Wagner), and Helen; and great-grandson Waylon. He also leaves behind siblings Jake (Kathy) Lemaster, David (Phyllis) Lemaster, Barbara (Bill) Johnson, and Janet (Dennis) Marshall; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family who will forever remember his steady kindness and good-hearted humor.
He is reunited in Heaven with his parents; his grandchildren Caleb and Rosa; and his siblings Norman Lemaster, Edna Carol Cantrell, and Don Lemaster.
Family and friends are invited to gather and honor William’s life on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at Honey Creek Baptist Church, 294 Honey Creek Road, Bellville, where visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. His funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. with Pastor Paul Staton officiating. Burial will follow at Bunkerhill Cemetery.
The Bellville Snyder Funeral Home is honored to serve the Lemaster family.
