Roger Dale Cottrell, 67, of Galion, Ohio passed away on November 17, 2025 following a short illness. On October 10, 1958 he was born in Crestline, Ohio to the late Jesse D & Donna J (Davis) Cottrell. Dale married Sherry Leigh Furr on March 10, 2012 at their home and they shared 13 years together.
Dale had worked for General Motors for 32 years. He was in skilled trades at General Motors and also in retirement. He believed that Jesus Christ was his Lord and Savior.
Dale loved his family and friends. He loved his deer farm, hunting and fishing, his loyal dog, Scarlet, watching his favorite westerns and any project with his tractor.
He is survived by his wife, Sherry L. (Sergent) Cottrell; son, Jerimiah Cottrell; grandson, Avian Cottrell; step daughter, Sonya Dorion; step son, Shane Brissell; step grandchildren, Fearydan, Dorion, Malikki, Ison; great grandson, Mathias Swinning; brothers, Ed (Deb) Cottrell and Robert (Tara) Cottrell; sister, Debra Littleton and many nieces and nephews.
