Iva Louise Mahler, 93, returned home to be with her Savior on November 11, 2025 at Wedgewood Estates in Mansfield.
She was born May 22, 1932, in Galion, to Charles and Edna (Cronenwett) Baker. She married the love of her life Robert H. Mahler on July 8.1962, and he proceeded her in death September 17, 2007.
She was a graduate of Galion High School, class of 1950. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where she served faithfully as an Altar Guild and a part of the Ruth Circle. She was a former member of the Galion Friendly Homemakers Club and Malabar Spinning and Weavers Club. She enjoyed basket weaving and picking strawberries in Blooming Grove.
She is survived by her daughters Denise (Heath) Mullins and Kim Mahler, and son Roger Mahler, grandchildren Carson Mullins and Paige Mullins, nieces and nephews Chuck Shumaker, Mark Shumaker, Judy (Jim) Goebbel, Lynne Miller, Diana Baker, David (Missy) Baker, Karen Lopez, and numerous great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Edna (Cronenwett) Baker, and siblings June Baker, May (Burnell) Shumaker, Art (Helen “Jean”) Baker, and Harold (Joyce “Ardell”) Baker.
The family will receive friends from 4pm-7pm November 17, 2025, at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833. Funeral services will be held at 11 am, November 18, 2025, at Trinity Lutheran Church 291 North Union Street Galion, Ohio 44833 with Rev. Richard Genzman officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
