MANSFIELD — Carl Hunnell promised not to be as grumpy as last week.

Then more than 59,000 registered voters in Richland County didn’t vote last week.

And then it snowed Monday morning — as he outlined it would in a story on Sunday — and Hunnell’s drive into the office was a slippery mess on untreated Mansfield streets.

Promises made, promises kept?

Welcome to Episode No. 73.

Maybe next week will provide a calmer, more gentle deputy managing editor for executive producer Zac Hiser and videographer Hayden Gray. (Caution: Video equipment refused to work on Monday. Only audio available of this week’s show.)

Once Hunnell finishes his endless bloviating, it’s on to the week’s headlines — from Mansfield City Council’s crackdown on truck route violators to Madison voters rejecting an income tax levy and the latest developments in the Gary Keesee Jr. court case in Knox County.

And yes, the guys still manage to squeeze in their usual NFL overreactions and a new segment, “What’s Carl Watching?”

Later, the crew welcomes back friend of the show B.J. Price from Skate Ohio to talk about the non-profit organization’s exciting plans for a new “micro skatepark” at Maple Lake Park — a project made possible by comedian Dan Cummins and Bad Magic Productions.

Price also shares updates on Lexington’s potential skatepark revival, the group’s partnership with international artist André Miripolsky and what’s rolling ahead for 2026.

It’s part civic pep talk, part snow-day vent, and part local skate culture spotlight — best enjoyed with a hot cup of Relax coffee and a thick skin.
