Judith “Judy” (Cass) Karnes passed away peacefully October 21, 2025 at Mansfield Ohio Health Hospital. She was born on January 1, 1939, to Mary (Flick) and Ivan Cass. She graduated from Galion High School in 1957 where she met and married the love of her life Robert Karnes in 1961.
Judy was first and foremost a loving wife and mother who always put others before herself. She was a talented and creative soul that owned numerous businesses with her husband including: The Iron Fence Antiques , Tiger Town Sports and Second Time Around folk art. She studied at the New York School of Design and got her degree in Interior Design and co-owned The Added Touch with her Sister in law Doll Cass. She was also a wonderful artist specializing in folk art watercolor and rug hooking.
Judy is survived by her children Drew (Michelle) Karnes and Jana (Mike) Henson and her six grandchildren whom she adored, Kyle (Sarah Zaffiro) Karnes, Chad (Nicole) Karnes, Bobby (Becca) Henson, Clay (Meghan Foos) Karnes Tom (Annie Nosek) Henson, Caitlyn (Nate Barre) Karnes.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bob, brother Jim and Doll Cass, sister Bev and Jack Witter.
Her family would like to thank Magnolia Terrace for their kind and helpful staff as well as OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital for their compassionate care in her final days.
It was Mom’s passion to share her love and the love of Christ with everyone she met.
Friends may call on Thursday, October 30, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Gompf Funeral Service- Galion Chapel, 303 Portland Way North, Galion. Service will immediately follow at 3:00 pm with Pastor Jeff Pennington officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
