Ronnie Ray Barnett, Sr., 77, of Crestline, passed peacefully on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at the Galion Meadows Nursing Home.
Born on December 23, 1947, in Willard to the late Cecil and Ora Barnett. On April 15, 1966, he took his loving bride, Gincy (Lee), to the minister’s house where they were united in a private ceremony, beginning a beautiful journey together filled with love, laughter, and countless stories that they would share for a lifetime.
Ronnie was an avid outdoorsman who found peace and purpose in nature. He enjoyed deer hunting and fishing and was a longtime member of the Crawford County Sportsmen and Gun Club. Above all, he cherished time spent with his grandchildren, who were the pride of his life and brought him endless joy.
Ronnie’s memories will forever be cherished by his loving wife, Gincy; their sons: Ronnie Barnett, Jr. of Mansfield, and Bill Barnett of Mansfield; sister; Jackie McKenzie of Florida; four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Ronnie was preceded in death by his siblings; Chuck Barnett, Larry Barnett, Greg Barnett, Roger Barnett, Denzil Barnett, Vince Barnett, Diane Cox, Dorothy Bowe, Rose Smith, Phyllis Endicott, and Pearl Woodruff.
The Barnett family will observe a private family burial, where Ronnie will be laid to rest with his parents at Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven.
